We believe that the path to sustainability is the balance between technological development and the respect for the environment. In order to transform our thoughts into reality, we need actions. Know what we are doing.

  • We have replaced our compressors with a new technology, resulting in a saving of 28,3% of electric energy.
  • We have created Colibri, a new technology in blow (International Patent Required), providing a reduction of 19,6% in the consumption of electric energy.
  • We renew conventional injectors and blowers for machines with better efficiency.
  • We use photocell technology for external company illumination.
  • We have adopted fluorescent lamps which are of lower consumption and have a longer life.
  • Solar water heating for changing rooms.

  • Member of GHG Protocol Brazil: Program that controls the emission of greenhouse gases by means of an inventory of emissions and adopting strategies to manage these emissions, aiming an increase in energy efficiency and mitigation of impacts on climate.

Water consumption

  • We have replaced cooling towers for a closed water circuit (Blow/PET).
  • All our taps are economical.
  • We have replaced our toilet pipeline flush valves for individual flush valve tanks.
  • We collect rain water to be used in changing room toilets.

Effluent Treatment

  • We separate all oil residues in water, through coalescent filters, before discarding into the sewer. The residual oil is sent to official recycling companies.
  • We give priority to sewer treatment system of the new Siriema Unit, with the use of anaerobic reactors, aerobic filters with a fixed channel with air diffusion disinfection with chlorine. The treated water is used for irrigation and bathroom toilet flushes.

Solid Residue

  • Decanted solid retention in screen washing in the decoration sector (silk-screen).
  • Plastic dust elimination in the grinding sector with the implementation of a closed filter system avoiding environment contamination. The residue is sent to recycling companies.
  • Lamps are sent for decontamination and mercury recovery, without generating environmental liabilities.
  • Selective waste collection of cardboard paper, paper, metal, and plastic residue generated in the company.
  • Class I residues are sent for co-processing-thermal destruction process- being one of the most efficient alternatives.
  • Hospital residue is also sent to a specialized company (CADRI).

  • 7.000 m² of native forest
  • Water spring with riparian forest.
  • Two natural lakes with 12.500 m² and 6.200 m², with a great variety of fish.
  • Ecologic trail.

We believe that mutual respect is the key to equilibrium in a relationship among people and that there is nothing more important in our world than the human being. For this reason, all our actions are associated with this principle, from the daily dealings with employees, clients, suppliers and families, to the community by means of city administration, social entities, schools and so on. Examples of this are various social and sport activities provided by Igaratiba, especially at the club, Clube de Campo and at Varandas Restaurant, regional references.
